Startup Sales Hiring Bait and Switch

Discussion for Startup Sales Hiring Bait and Switch
I still can't figure out why startups hire heavy-hitting, proven salespeople and then don't give them the support they need to be successful.

I just caught up with a dear friend that is living this right now.

She's the epitome of the person you want on your team and has the track record to back it up.

But yet, she's in Hell because the founder's ego is preventing her from doing what she needs to in order to succeed.

It's no wonder their churn is 40%!

Sales leaders, I'm curious – why does this happen?

Is it a self-awareness thing, ego, needing to always be right (even when you're wrong), or something else?

This kind of situation is one of the biggest reasons I get salespeople knocking on my door.

Would love your insight!
